Investment Commitment in The Mandalika Reaches IDR 17 Trillion

The Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) noted that until today the total investment commitment in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is Rp. 17 trillion.

The Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) noted that until today the total investment commitment in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is Rp. 17 trillion.

ITDC Director of Engineering & HR Taufik Hidayat said the total investment commitment consisted from the Master Land Utilization & Development Agreement (LUDA) from VINCI Construction Grands Projects (VCGP) worth Rp. 14 trillion.

VCGP is a subsidiary of Vinci Construction, a French state-owned enterprise engaged in the design and construction of infrastructure projects.

According to Taufik, the investment commitment will be disbursed in stages over 15 years.

"In addition, there are seven other investors who are committed to building a hotel worth a total of IDR 3 trillion for 1,700 rooms," said Taufik in his statement, Monday (13/09/2021).

Meanwhile, the Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia said, KEK Mandalika or The Mandalika has its own uniqueness and beauty compared to other regions.

He believes that many investors are interested in investing in the area. Especially with the existence of the MotoGP circuit which will clearly attract foreign tourists.

"I am sure that many investors will invest in The Mandalika. In the future, NTB will become a world tourist area that is not only related to automotive but can also support the potential of other sports, and attract more tourists to come," said Bahlil.

To accelerate the realization of development, ITDC Director of Operations and Business Innovation Arie Prasetyo said the company focused on basic infrastructure and facilities in the area to increase the selling value of the Mandalika tourist destination.

"With the hope of attracting as many investors as possible to invest in The Mandalika. For the investors, let's build The Mandalika together and help realize Indonesia Growing Indonesia Progressing," he said.

Arie added, ITDC is also completing the construction of supporting facilities for the Special Area Road ( JKK) The Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

This supporting facility was built to welcome the World Superbike (WSBK) international motorcycle racing event which will be held from 12-14 November 2021.

The supporting facilities include tunnels, race control, pit building, medical center and helipad.
