Bali and Beyond Travel Fair 2018 in Nusa Dua to get launched at the end of June

The fifth Bali and Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) will be held on June 26-30 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) in Badung regency.

The fifth Bali and Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) will be held on June 26-30 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) in Badung regency.  Organized by the Regional Representative Council (DPD) and the Association of Indonesian Tour and Travel Agencies (ASITA), the travel fair will focus on “Exploring the Colors of Indonesia.”  In addition to promoting Bali, the event also plans to expose Indonesia’s 10 most recommended tourist destinations, as well as the archipelago’s cultural diversity as BBTF 2018 is expecting participants from 21 provinces to promote their respective regions.  ASITA head Ketut Ardana, told Kompas.com that the Bali and Beyond Travel Fair 2018 was a business to business (btb) event and he expected it to be the biggest marketplace for travel in Indonesia.  “Two hundred tour and travel agencies from 38 countries attended last year’s BBTF,” he said on Monday. “Our target this year is to welcome 400 tour and travel agencies, and as of today, 181 agencies from 42 countries have registered as buyers.”  The Bali and Beyond Travel Fair 2018 will also feature sellers from China, India, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, as well as Middle Eastern and European countries. Meanwhile, buyers will be divided into two categories, namely fully hosted and partially hosted. The former comprises tour operators who can bring in 10,000 travelers to Bali with the average expense of US$ 1,265 each per visit. Tour operators in this category will have most of their expenses covered, including full accommodation, airplane tickets to Bali and meals.  The Bali Tourism Board’s head of tourism, Ida Ayu Indah, hopes the event will help sell tour packages that cover tourist villages. This will empower the villages and give the travelers a unique experience, she said.  This year, ASITA will be cooperating with Badung regency officials as co-host. According to Badung Tourism Board head I Made Badra, the regency supports this event with funding that also covers promotional expenses.  “Badung regency has also designed the Sasana Budaya building located at our official headquarters. The building will be completed in 2020 with the capacity of 15,000 people. It is projected to be the main Bali and Beyond Travel Fair 2018's venue after its completion,” Badra said.
