Investment license in Indonesia continues to be simplified so that Japanese companies can more easily and quickly to obtain permits” said Lestari Indah in a written statement received in Jakarta, Thursday (7/12/2017).

This was disclosed Lestari Indah in Seminar “Indonesia Business Climate and Current Policies on Investment Permits” at Bank of Kyoto Building.

In his presentation, Deputy Head of BKPM explained about the latest procedure to obtain investment license in Indonesia to about 60 Japanese companies (4/11).

The seminar was organized by KJRI Osaka in cooperation with Indonesia Investment Promotion Center (IIPC) in Tokyo, Bank Indonesia Representative in Tokyo, Jetro Kyoto, CCI Kyoto and Bank of Kyoto.

In addition to the Deputy Head of BKPM for Investment Services, the seminar also presents the Chief Representative of BI in Tokyo, Puji Atmoko who presented the latest development and economic trends of Indonesia.

Representatives from Jetro, Deputy Director of Asia and Oceania Division, Overseas Research Department, Hideki Fujie, and representatives of Nitto Seiko Co. Ltd., Global Strategies Section Manager, Planning Department, Tadashi Uehara is also presented to share information and experiences related to climate and investment trends in Indonesia.

Consul General of Osaka, Vishnu E. Pratignyo opened the seminar and revealed that the background of this seminar is the number of Japanese businessmen who asked about investment licensing in Indonesia.

Therefore, the Consulate General of Osaka took the initiative to invite directly related sources to present the latest policy, namely BKPM officials.

Meanwhile, Hideki Fujie from Jetro who had served in Jakarta for 5 years, said that economic cooperation with Indonesia is very profitable, especially supported by the development in Indonesia is very rapid.

While Tadashi Uehara from Nitto Seiko Co. Ltd. recounts the experience of tens of years himself and his company operating in Tangerang under the name of PT. Nitto Alam Indonesia (NAI), since 1992.

This seminar is one part of KJRI Osaka’s efforts to encourage Japanese companies to expand their business and increase their investment in Indonesia.

Japanese companies are also regularly invited to explore and see firsthand business opportunities, infrastructure and facilities in Indonesia before investing.
