Born and raised in the small village of Ubung on Lombok, Masri is a self-starter who gives back at every opportunity. After starting out as a teacher, he followed his generous spirit in establishing a social volunteering project in his village giving free English and environmental education classes to nearly 600 underprivileged kids in the sub-district.
Masri went on to work in a peace campaign project for interfaith youths in Indonesia, Bangladesh and Pakistan for Oxfam International. Continuing in many social campaigns in Lombok, he met Kevin Deisser in March 2019 and took the life-changing step of becoming a project manager for the Invest Islands Foundation. A dream role in which he can enact positive change for his own people exactly where it’s needed.
Born in Mataram, Wahyu knows Lombok and its communities better than most. With a BA in English Education, she worked as a teacher at various private language centres before joining Invest Islands in August 2019. Heading up the administrative department of the Foundation, Wahyu is on a mission to help improve the lives of the local population, especially women, children and those most vulnerable. As the youngest of three siblings, she loves to spend time with family, learn new things, explore nature, and play the occasional game of badminton.
Best known as Ina, our Social Enterprise Development Lead joined the Invest Islands Foundation in 19th of May 2020, immediately after graduating with a degree in Marine Science from Brawijaya University. In her role, she is charged with the planning, implementation, and monitoring of key program activities in Invest Islands Foundation. A confident communicator, Ina has a great leader skill combine with friendliness & honesty. In her leisure time, she enjoys art, writing, and poetry.
Wawan, is more commonly known as Adi Putrawan and is the manager of Organiika. With dedication and passion he oversees the organic farm by collaborating with ecologists and local farmers. Through developing organic farming systems and permaculture, Wawan is optimistic that these farming methods can be used nationwide.
The Bank Sampah initiative is overseen by Robi and is an integral part of the Foundation. Using his strong local knowledge, Robi contributed heavily to the program and achieved outstanding results. Using this knowledge and experience, he now guides the team in managing the beach cleaning project.
Zaenudin was born in Montong Ajan, on 16 March 1993. He completed his bachelor degree of Islamic education in 2017. He is actively participating in many youth organizations. Now he is responsible for monitoring all aspects of the field projects and has been working at Invest Islands Foundation since the very beginning. He connects the foundation with the people in the target area since he is from the same village of our initiatives.
